About Our Club

An inclusive swimming club where every child belongs.

Tralee Little Dolphins Club was founded with a simple belief: every child deserves the chance to learn to swim in a safe, supportive and fun environment. Based at the Tralee Regional Sports Complex in Co. Kerry, we provide adaptive swimming lessons designed for children with Autism, Physical and Additional Needs.

Led by Shane Lee, Brian Casey and a dedicated team of qualified instructors, our club is a sensory-friendly, welcoming space where children build confidence, develop water safety skills and, most importantly, have fun in the water.

We are a community club. Sponsorship, grants and fundraising keep our programmes accessible and affordable for every family.

"It has been beautiful to see our child included in something that suits their needs. We are so grateful for this experience."

A Little Dolphins parent

"At the start, our biggest fear was drowning. Twelve weeks later, our child can keep themselves afloat and swim 10 metres independently."

A Little Dolphins parent

"Our child cannot simply swim with their peers at the beach, so having a place where they can take part without judgement means everything."

A Little Dolphins parent

"We booked a family holiday because of the confidence our child gained in the pool. Without Tralee Little Dolphins, we would not have felt able to do it."

A Little Dolphins parent

"There is no judgement here. Our child can be themselves, learn at their own pace and still feel part of a group."

A Little Dolphins parent

"For us, this is bigger than swimming lessons. It is safety, independence, inclusion and the confidence to do things together as a family."

A Little Dolphins parent

"Their group classes are led by trained coaches who are exceptional in their approach and who understand how to support children in a positive and reassuring way. Tralee Little Dolphins provides much more than swimming instruction; through fun, structured activities and games, they create positive experiences that help children feel safe, supported, and proud of their progress."
